8.4 Pine Privacy grove
A row of pines to block view, sun and wind from the southern boundary. Open field in eventual shade area of pines, with a wood pile swale placed to the south east of the shade area.
Read MoreThe deer will eat the young pine trees. I sprayed the ones still alive with deer repellent when I took these photos. This section of the forest edge is actually a privacy barrier more than anything else. I'll need to set back the east forest edge guild at least 90 feet NW from where the surviving pines are.
