Brandon Smith (Redwoodtwig)

The lower pond is a man made dam.  I've been told that at one time the water was clear and close to 10' deep and had good fishing.  Probably before they cleared the forest for the subdivision uphill and to the south of it.  The spillway at the northeastern end of the pond has eroded away to the point where it's mainly a swamp or wetland now.

Also, a lot of mud and dirt and some pollution has washed into it from construction done in the subdivision.  I'm sure that the spillway can be repaired, though it will need a lot of concrete or at least very large rocks
