The russian olive growing here was low and spreading, shading out a large area under which mainly poison ivy, bush honeysuckle and winter creeper seem to be thriving. Along with some native thorny vines and various saplings (some sassafrass, some redbud) and several yucca. The plan is currently to use that space as a clear passage to the east deck so a large truck could back in and load/unload large items for the house. A hardstand that can also double as an outdoor performance stage for fire performance.
