2020 02 February walkabouts
Read MoreThe camera sees more than the eyes
These dust motes on the floor are almost invisible when walking around on the floor. Obvious only when using the same angle I had the camera in for this shot.
This is an oak floor laid in the 1950's. It has waves every two feet where the large floor joists are. This presents enough of a challenge to make practicing my Taijiquan forms interesting. Making it a flat floor would be very expensive no matter which route is taken; and most routes involve eliminating the character already here. So, other than some sanding needed around the edges, just clean and sweep. Ready to go out in the wood storage and see if we can scrounge up enough edging from when they were taken off. But before putting them on, redo the wall. I think just paint it white and draw on it again...
out the window on a cold Winter sunset
The more I look at this image, the more I like it, despite the artifacts introduced by shooting through the window..
