The water level is finally going down a bit. Normally by this time in August, it's almost dry. The Rose Mallow were planted last year, and both the one on the other side (which is done flowering now) and this side survivied. Intersting how the Rose Mallow flower faces toward the water. The sun set a while ago, but off to the left. However, I think there might have been more light in the direction the flower is facing, lot of dense shade where the sun actually set. Somebody has chowed down on the lower leaves, but the plants seem fine.
