The Epoxy Forest

This collection of hanging mobiles can be walked through as if it were a forest lowering kis flowers to eye level for your enjoyment. (Kis is third person singluar possessive pronoun for the living being that is a real forest, and, I suppose, since I put time and energy into these epoxy creatons and they are intermixed with wood from a living forest, perhaps there is enough living being here to warrent personhood. However, because both the wood pieces present, the epoxy and the various kinds of metal used to hold things together, I'd also be willing to call it simply an it, without personhood. )

This 2020 winter solstice
This 2020 winter solstice marks the transition from earth to air both symbolically and literally as well as figuratively in this photo (out of the camera) taken under black light of my collection of beings of air here for the participatory performance of exploring the psychic feel of the world to come. This new world will look more toward the air than toward the earth. I hope that this date will mark the beginning of the downslope on a graph of earth resource extraction. And that the coming place where we extract what we need for our tech will be air -- air that might look not too different from my photo, but out there in the asteroid belt.
