The open area kept mowed for playing in. The slope is not bad, but would really benefit from a skilled bobcat operator doing some leveling work.
What is the best ground cover for an area to be used for human recreation, dancing, sports, etc? What will benefit the surrounding vegetation and vice versa?

The big field can be a performance venue
A little raking, a bit of pile organizing, almost ready. I am conflicted about having a neatly mowed field for bonfires within the permaculture context. How beneficial to the surrounding areas is a field like this?
