Light Painting - Redwoodtwig

Brandon Smith (Redwoodtwig)

I don't do hula hoops or poi, but I do find other ways to model lights.

  • 100 second self portrait

For this one I ran through the form as rapidly as I could, resulting in a more compact and busier image than the longer exposure.

  • Rising full moon and LED sword lights

The full moons only become visible when they rise above the trees, making it a challenge to find an angle and focal length that shows both the sword moves and the moon. The moon is moving fast enough that this 5 second exposure shows elongation that I haven't the photoshop skills to fix. Still, I do like the image.

  • Part wild horse's mane; stork spreads wings. 31 second exposure.

  • I chi king performed under the full moon of August 2013. 3 minute and 15 second exposure. A video of the movement used to produce this still is available at http://youtu.be/dgEV6yBikss
